Description
Master the Hunt
Play ten matches to unlock a Freelancer of your choosing. The game features short, intense matches with rapid combat, allowing players to quickly access and enjoy their preferred Freelancers. By logging in and actively participating in matches, you can gradually earn the Freelancer you want and integrate them into your team strategies.
Recruit-a-Friend Program
The Recruit-A-Friend (RAF) system has been updated to provide more rewards and a simpler experience. To participate, click the Recruit button within the game interface. You receive 5 RAF Points when each recruited player completes ten PvP matches for the first time. Additionally, you earn a one-to-one match of points for any in-game purchases made by your recruits. Recruited players are granted a 7-Day Access Pass, giving them full access to all Freelancers, including Ranked mode. Playing matches with your recruits helps them improve, preparing them to recruit additional players themselves.
Competitive PvP Battles
Engage in 4v4 matches across various modes, including Solo, Versus Bots, PvP, Ranked, and Custom games. The game’s combat system emphasizes a wide range of ability combinations, ensuring that every match presents a unique tactical challenge. The strategic depth and dynamic combat make every encounter distinct and engaging.
Customizable Freelancers
Choose from a continually expanding roster of Freelancers. Each hero’s abilities can be modified using Ability Mods, which allow players to create specific loadouts or adjust strategies to counter opposing teams. This system provides flexibility in gameplay and encourages experimentation to find the optimal configuration for each situation.
Varied Maps and Environments
Battle across multiple unique locations throughout the city of Atlas. Maps include diverse settings such as the deck of a flying cargo ship, a rooftop garden, a high-tech laboratory, and the engineering bay of an active reactor core. Each environment offers distinct tactical opportunities and challenges, influencing movement, positioning, and strategy during matches.
Seasonal Stories and Rewards
Participate in multi-week story arcs called “Seasons,” which allow players to influence the unfolding narrative of the Atlas universe. Seasonal challenges provide ongoing objectives, and completing these tasks rewards regular gameplay with additional loot, enhancing progression and offering incentives to stay engaged with the game over time.
A Futuristic Universe
Atlas Reactor is set in a futuristic megacity, where towering skyscrapers reach into the clouds. Freelancers engage in battles for and against powerful corporate Trusts competing for control over the planet’s final Reactor. This environment combines high-tech urban landscapes with strategic combat, placing players in a world of competitive action and tactical decision-making.
Our Verdict
Atlas Reactor offers a fun, fast-paced PvP experience with strategic team-based combat. The ability to customize your heroes and experiment with different abilities adds depth to the gameplay, making each match feel unique. The variety of game modes, including Ranked and PvP, ensures that there's always something for competitive players to enjoy. The game's seasonal stories and rewards keep things fresh, giving players an evolving experience as they participate in the fate of the Atlas universe.
However, while the game has a lot of potential with its creative mechanics, its appeal might be limited to those who enjoy a more niche, tactical style of combat. The learning curve can be steep for new players, and the game's player base may not be large enough to maintain a steady flow of matches. If you're looking for a deep, tactical multiplayer experience, this game is worth a shot, but casual players may find it less accessible.
Verdict: We recommend it for tactical PvP fans, but it may not be for everyone.
