Description
Lower Decks is a 2D side-scrolling science fiction action game that places the player in control of Bobby Bailey, also referred to as Beebee. Beebee serves as a spaceship engineer stationed on the lower decks of the ship. The primary objective of the game is to confront and eliminate adversaries who have launched an attack on the ship, attempting to seize control. Additionally, players are tasked with repairing and restoring the ship's damaged systems to ensure continued operation.
Gameplay Overview
Players navigate Beebee through the ship's lower decks, engaging in combat with invading forces. The side-scrolling perspective allows for continuous movement from one section of the ship to another, emphasizing both action and strategic repair tasks. Combat involves defeating multiple enemies while simultaneously managing ship systems that may have been compromised during the attack. The game’s mechanics integrate both shooting and problem-solving elements, reflecting the dual responsibilities of the main character as both a fighter and engineer.
Game Version
The current release is Version 0.1, marked as an Alpha build. This early version showcases the core gameplay elements, including character movement, combat, and system repair tasks. As an alpha release, the game is in its initial stages of development and serves primarily as a demonstration of the fundamental mechanics and overall concept.
