Description
Experience the excitement of extreme sports in 2Xtreme (2007), now available as a PS One® Classic compatible with both your PS3™ and PSP® systems. This title allows players to immerse themselves in a variety of high-adrenaline sports across diverse international locations, offering unique environments and challenges for each activity.
Gameplay Overview
Players can choose from multiple sports disciplines including snowboarding, in-line skating, mountain biking, and skateboarding. Each sport features authentic locations that reflect real-world conditions: snowboard across the snowy terrains of Japan, perform in-line skating tricks through the vibrant streets of Las Vegas, navigate challenging mountain bike trails in Africa, and hit the skate parks of Los Angeles. The game emphasizes speed, skill, and the mastery of each sport’s unique mechanics.
PS3™ and PSP® Compatibility
This version of 2Xtreme has been adapted from the original PlayStation® disc to function on both PS3™ and PSP® systems. Users can transfer the game from a PS3™ to a PSP® by following a straightforward process: ensure the PS3™ and PSP® are linked through a USB connection, switch the PSP® to USB Mode, and copy the game directly from the PS3™ XMB™. A minimum of 60 MB of free space on the Memory Stick Duo™ is required, and the transfer must be executed under the same PLAYSTATION®Network account used for the original purchase.
PC Store and Download Instructions
For customers accessing the PlayStation® Store via a PC, log in using the same PLAYSTATION®Network account associated with the purchase. The game can be downloaded from the user’s “Download List” directly to the PS3™ system. This ensures that all licensed content is properly verified and transferred, enabling seamless play across compatible devices.
Technical Considerations
Since this version has been converted from the original PlayStation® disc, players may notice differences in performance or functionality compared to the initial release. Some features from the original disc might not operate as intended. Additionally, this PS One® Classic version does not support PlayStation® peripherals such as controllers, memory cards, or multitap devices. As a result, features including multiplayer, versus, and cooperative modes are not available.
Licensing and Terms of Use
Purchasing 2Xtreme (2007) constitutes agreement to the PLAYSTATION®Network Terms of Service/User Agreement and the usage restrictions associated with this title. A one-time license fee allows downloads on up to two console systems and two portable systems linked to the purchasing account. Users who do not accept these terms should refrain from purchasing the game.

Our Verdict
2Xtreme brings back a mix of extreme sports in different locations, from snowboarding in Japan to skateboarding in Los Angeles. The gameplay is simple and nostalgic, capturing the feel of the original PS1 version. However, some features from the original disc, like multiplayer and certain controls, are missing on the PS3™ and PSP® ports.
If you love retro extreme sports games and want a quick, solo experience, this version is worth picking up. Just know it won't fully match the original on features or performance. For casual play and nostalgia, it delivers, but for full gameplay depth, expectations should be tempered.
Verdict: Recommended for fans of classic extreme sports games looking for a portable or updated experience. Not ideal for those wanting modern graphics or complete multiplayer options.
