Developer Background
Ticket to Earth was developed by Robot Circus, an independent game studio based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 2011 by a team with extensive experience in console game development, Robot Circus was created to pursue innovative gameplay and compelling narrative experiences. Ticket to Earth exemplifies the studio’s vision, combining tactical gameplay, puzzle elements, and a strong sci-fi storyline. Players are invited to explore diverse locations, unravel intricate storylines, and engage with the evolving narrative across multiple episodes.
Our Verdict
Ticket to Earth starts off strong with a unique mix of puzzle and RPG tactics, but ultimately falters under its own weight. While the colorful art and episodic narrative initially draw you in, the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive and lacks depth. The strategy elements are shallow, and while the plot tries to create intrigue, the story feels more like a set-up for future episodes than a complete experience.
Though the game offers nice visuals and character progression, the overall experience feels disconnected and not engaging enough to warrant a full commitment. If you're looking for a quick, casual RPG to pass the time, this may be worth a try, but don't expect it to hold your attention for long. We can’t recommend it for those seeking a truly compelling and polished RPG experience.
