Description
Set seven centuries prior to the events of Ys I & II, Ys Origin explores the perilous history of the land of Ys. At this time, the region faced imminent destruction as relentless demon forces invaded, compelling the twin Goddesses who governed Ys to relocate their people to the safety of the clouds. Despite their efforts, the demons pursued relentlessly, constructing a colossal tower to continue their assault. The conflict that began on the ground escalated into a battle above the clouds, bringing new challenges and dangers to the surface.
Amid the chaos, the Goddesses mysteriously disappeared one night, leaving only one conceivable destination: the Devil's Tower. In response, a dedicated group of knights and sorcerers was assembled to recover the deities. Among them are Yunica Tovah, an apprentice knight, and Hugo Fact, a sorcerer burdened by personal struggles. Their journey through this perilous quest forms the core narrative of the game, offering multiple perspectives and experiences based on their individual paths.
