Description
Toricky and Momo are two adventurous birds constantly seeking new experiences. In their latest journey, they set out to explore the legendary Crystar Palace, a place said to contain mysterious jewels known as "Crystar." Once bustling with activity, the palace now appears abandoned, raising questions about the fate of its inhabitants. Players must guide Toricky through this enigmatic environment, using his exceptional flying skills to navigate a series of dangerous zones filled with traps and hostile enemies.
Exploration
Toricky's journey takes him through diverse and challenging environments. He will storm vast fortresses surrounded by oversized, psychedelic mushrooms and dive into celestial waters teeming with unusual piranhas. Each area of the Crystar Palace is expansive, and Toricky's speed and flight capabilities are crucial for fully exploring every corner. Players will need to master aerial maneuvers to uncover hidden paths and secrets throughout the palace's seven distinct zones.
Combat
Despite Toricky's peaceful nature, the palace is overrun by aggressive pirates and other hostile creatures. As a bird, Toricky has no conventional weapons, but his incredible strength allows him to turn everyday objects into powerful tools. Even a simple pebble can become a lethal weapon in the right hands. Strategic thinking and timing are essential for overcoming enemies and advancing through the palace.
Puzzles
The path through the Crystar Palace is blocked by a variety of puzzles. Players must use logic, observation, and interaction with the environment to solve these challenges. Each puzzle is designed to test problem-solving skills and reward careful exploration, ensuring a balanced mix of action and mental engagement throughout the adventure.
Boss Battles
Toricky faces numerous formidable bosses, each requiring unique strategies to defeat. Players may encounter a giant robot towering ten times Toricky's size or other massive opponents that demand careful observation of attack patterns. Defeating these bosses requires both quick reflexes and tactical thinking to exploit weaknesses and progress further into the palace.
Mystery
In addition to hostile creatures, Toricky may encounter the palace's princess, who possesses mystical powers over the Crystar Palace. Finding and interacting with her can provide crucial assistance in completing the journey. The palace is filled with secrets, and unraveling its mysteries is central to the game's adventure-driven experience.

Our Verdict
Toricky is a charming, old-school platformer that stands out for its unique flight mechanics and beautifully crafted manga-style visuals. The game takes you on an adventurous journey through vast, colorful zones, solving puzzles, battling tough bosses, and uncovering a mystery. If you enjoy exploration and creative combat, this game has a lot to offer, especially with its mix of flying, puzzle-solving, and boss fights that require strategy.
However, while the game offers over 30 hours of gameplay, some players may find its challenge a bit repetitive, especially in later levels. The lack of traditional weapons can make combat feel limited at times, relying on environmental interactions and your flying abilities. Despite these minor drawbacks, the captivating world and intriguing story make Toricky a solid choice for fans of platformers who enjoy a mix of action and exploration.
Recommendation: Recommended for players who love unique platformers and are ready for a challenge, but those seeking more varied combat options might want to look elsewhere.
