Story Background
The events take place within a region known as the Great Strange. This zone is characterized by intense supernatural activity, where elements from different realities merge and distort the environment. Phenomena within this area occur at an abnormal frequency, creating unstable and dangerous conditions.
A specialized military unit called The Hayward was established to investigate and eliminate anomalies within the Great Strange. Over time, this organization developed methods to monitor, control, and reverse-engineer the phenomena encountered in the region.
The player assumes the role of Hayward Generation VII 81363-7. This entity is a reconstructed body enhanced with mechanical and arcane components. Despite being a newer model, it possesses extensive experience operating within the Great Strange and is capable of handling high-risk situations.
Current Situation
Recent developments indicate a rapid expansion of the Great Strange. The intensity and frequency of anomalies have increased beyond previously recorded levels. Evidence suggests a connection to Hayward Generation I unit known as Avlan, whose disappearance coincides with the escalation of these events.
Mission Objective
The primary task is to enter the mining settlement of Kozanoda, the last known location of Avlan. The objective is to locate and apprehend the missing unit.
